Sausage Accomplished

Very quick in-and-out at Pittsboro, and you can tell it’s a small town, because several of the people on the ballot are out front of the precinct shaking hands, and Kevin is on a first name basis with most of them. (I believe he picks his vote in local races based on who he would trust to watch his kids. There are worse systems.)

I was voter #176. I asked the gentleman manning the optical…thing…thingy…machine* about turnout, and he said they have about five thousand registered voters, three thousand of which voted early. So there’s a good turnout in our area, anyway.

*"What’s that, girl? Little Timmy is trapped in the thing?!"
