…okay, I went out to buy another memory card for my PS2, and I came home with a Gamecube.
It was 25$! And I always play old games ANYWAY–my gaming is about as far from cutting edge as can be imagined–and by the time I’ve worked my way through the backstock of Zelda games, the Wii will hopefully no longer be rarer than hen’s teeth. (Watch. Because of this, I will have one fall in my lap tomorrow…)
…and goddamn, that was one persuasive salesguy. Good thing he didn’t have a used car he was trying to unload.
And I now have a sample of every console in the house, possibly including the Dreamcast (unless it’s in a box in the attic at James’s) and thus have permanently crossed a geek horizon. And I am at peace with that.
