Another quickie. This one uses acrylic thinned down like watercolor, which is something my mother kept telling me to try and I swore someday I’d get to it. Not terribly different, although the colors are nicely intense, but not as overwhelmingly so as acrylic ink, which is like PURE COLOR.
I am starting to feel the burn to do a Big Complicated Painting, but it’s not quite ready to come out yet. I can feel it lurking in the back of my skull, but I know if I start digging at it out of “Oh, god, I haven’t done a big painting in awhile!” guilt, it’s not gonna want to come out at all. Restraint is hard. But I have my editing to console me…
