A random doodle and a bit of world-building… The round, blank white eyes are something I know I’ve seen in a lot of Japanese stuff, and which I generally thus avoid–they usually seemed kinda creepy–but they fit this guy so well that I may have to rethink my position there. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/23074577/

Coming back into the house this evening, I saw the number three on one of the framing boards on the porch. It was a dark brown raised number, dully shiny and metallic. I didn’t think much of it. The porch is littered with brass handles at about that height, as the previous owner of this […]
Today, as I was headed out to the car, I heard a loud mechanical buzzing. This is not unusual, since we have cicadas, but this differed from the sort of rising and falling buzz in unison we usually get, presumably as a result of cicadas doin’ the wave or something. This was a loud, agitated, […]
It’s a misty moisty morning, and cloudy is the weather. I’m fine with that, but if somebody shows up cloth-ed all in leather, there’ll be trouble. Yesterday was another day of gaming with Twitchy the elf and the amnesiac brigade. We managed not to die or get into too much trouble, as we were just […]
Another quick and silly watercolor. My brain informs me that the savannah that the knockkneed flinx and the snoggox live in is called the Rootveldt. That’s…err…good to know, I guess…? http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/22963318/
Everything gronks, man. http://www.deviantart.com/view/22923295/

Phew, just had a complex and vivid dream…it sort of alternated between really awesome and really awful. There was a sort of movie-like quality to it. Sometimes I was actually in a theatre, and sometimes I was actually there. It started out watching these mermaid swim through the stairs of a flooded hospital. They were […]
I can’t leave that hippie elf alone, man. Or the trolls, for that matter. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/22861660/
A whole…group…of tufted titmice is fighting over the birdbath. This has led me to the inevitable question as to what you call a grouping of titmice. So far we’ve had the “braflock” of titmice and the strip of titmice. A club? A revue? Sophmoric humor? Me?
