I am suffering a peculiar malady today. It is a sort of anti-artist block. I have sketched any number of things, started two paintings, lost interest, gone back to the sketchbook, rinse, repeat. I have plenty of ideas. A number of them would make reasonably good paintings. As soon as I get that far, however, generally after everything’s roughed out on the illo board, my creative impulses shut down. Hmmph.

I should probably just sketch for awhile, but I’ve never quite gotten over the feeling that sketching is not really work, and thus that I’m slacking. Oh, well…
