Well, I do regret that “OMG gross FAT!” comments will trickle in for as long as the painting’s up, but there’s one of those in every crowd, and it’s more than made up for by the number of people who are excited to see non-waifishness in fantasy. The fairy’s face is my favorite–it came out much better than usual for some reason that I’m not real clear on. Which is sort of unfortunate, because now I’ll be stuck trying to figure out how to do it again. Fat is so damn fun to paint.
And now, to go letter a page of Digger that I should have also been working on…
