This is a perfect book. I went around for a week quoting it to people (“Words are like fish and you catch them and you get to keep them forever”, among others). Thank you SO MUCH for putting it out into the world!
Congratulations on another first rate book, and a wonderful take on an old story. I’ve always felt that the “hero” of The Snow Queen was a tiresome little twit, and that the heroine deserved a great deal better.
I confess, I AM still waiting for a version where the heroine finds a way to break the Snow Queen’s power without killing her, realizes what a stinker her ‘beloved’ is, and wishes the pair joy of each-other.

Maybe leaving them a nice sharp knife…..
But I’m not a nice person.
I just read your take on The Little Mermaid and I really truly loved it. I shall definitely be adding your books to my reading list.
