Doodle

One of these days, when I actually have a month I’m not traveling (or weeping gently over the next load of Dragonbreath art) I should do a drawing a day thing. I don’t actually enjoy drawing all that much (I love painting, and drawing is the necessarily evil step TO painting) and maybe if I had to get in the habit of drawing random crap, I’d loosen up a bit and not spend so much time glaring at my sketchbooks. Although I’d want to do it digitally.

Won’t be this month, though. Off to Minneapolis to sign Digger omnibuses on Saturday.

Anyway, random twenty-minute doodle.

It’s a shame you don’t love sketching because we (your rabid fans) love seeing it! And the fez! OMB!

Also, I have this niggling desire for a Red Wombat t-shirt (we dig tea!)

    Hello Ursula,

Browsing on the web last sunday, I came across “Digger”.

Wow! I was engrossed in this tale for about twelve hours straight (minus the one hour when I made dinner for my girlfriend and me) and I’ve been digesting it eversince.

    This is fantastic!
The depth and evolution of the characters an their relationships, the ethical questions, the humour (which is sometimes in the same vein as pratchett’s), the artwork, pure and oh so intricate.

Digger’s attitude towards gods made me laugh more than a few times (“OK, so they exist. Doesn’t mean I have to respect them.”)

Truly, verily enjoyed your work, and I’m going to look for more of that by your hand.

    Thanks for this.
